I use VSC and have good results from it. I got a lifetime supply sized jar for like $15, so it's not a bad deal either.

Where'd you get the large size for $15 from?

Impressive collection MrDV. I'm curious which ones you would keep if you could only keep one as well. They all look like they were dipped in liquid glass but the antique welts get my vote.

Great lineup. FWIW, I didn't like the pull tabs, so I called Alden HQ and asked them if they would remove for me, and they did, free of charge. Mr Sazon originally turned me on to the idea, and it's really helped with my trousers riding up on my legs, esp after sitting.

BTW, haven't posted for several months, but surprised to see how much tougher the exotics are to find compared to this time last year. A friend of mine is in the market for anything in Cigar or Ravello in a size 12, and I can't point him toward one source. Fortunately for me, I stocked up last year with the purchase of 15 pairs of shell in about every model I fancied (props to SFTG for his counsel throughout that process...)

Hope everyone's enjoying the weekend!

Brilliant Uncle! If you, (or anyone else) were looking to acquire a black or #8 shell bal oxford… having neither in your wardrobe … which style/color would you choose?

1. Straight tip
2. Perf. Cap
3. Medallion Cap
4. Wing tip

… almost pulled the trigger on a black AE Park Ave on eBay, but came back to the light ;)
