I will get some pics started with my favorite Aldens: Milkshake suede Leydon lasted longwings, with oiled sole from Epaulet.

I saw a can of Kiwi "Dark Tan" the other day, and picked it up thinking that I remembered that it was the same as Alden's Color 8, and was otherwise impossible to find in the states. Is that (impossible to find) correct, or has something changed in the several years since those comments were made?

Hard to believe that something called "dark tan" would be similar to color 8... Kiwi's mid tan corresponds to ravello, for example. there are a lot of options for color 8 widely available, including Alden's Color 8 paste and Saphir's burgundy cordovan cream

I agree it seems weird, just what I've read numerous times both here and on AAAC.

i heard Alden's Color 8 Paste is made by Kiwi. true?

I understand that, though it might be interesting to see what role Aldens play in various collections. As long as Aldens are pictured, I'll be happy.
