Congrats! You must have great taste in shoes if you have the LWB Rainbow. You really should consider the Cigar LWB though over the MacNeil... Does your MacNeil have brown transparent or light brown transparent edges?

-Mike

Light brown transparent. Maybe I think about getting cigar LWB when I complete the LHS rainbow. May take a while.

Someone is really happy to be wearing daddy's shells. At least one of the girls is happy with my purchases.

Well, I bought my third pair of Alden's, and the first pair ever sold in Australia.

The original Indy boot. Actually the second pair of Alden's I've purchased this week. I bought a pair of Colour #8 LWB's off Grailed. I'm praying to god they fit. My first pair are my Snuff Suede perforated captoe boots.

Ok fellas I have a question that may seem odd. Has anyone ever tried to sand the dark edging on the boots to lighten it up and then refinish it? I have a pair of used beater shell boots and was going to give it a shot. Do you think it would lighten up significantly?

Thanks

Drew

Yes. People have done this and posted tutorial pics.

You can sand the edge dressing off so that it is natural, and then darken it to your preference with edge dressing or shoe polish.

There is no science to it.
