Grocery stores are dangerous if A) you go hungry or B) you go without a list.....however wearing Indy boots, everything is possible.....just remember "Only the Penitent Man shall pass......."

Maiden voyage for these Black Shell Straight Tip Boots from B&M. Really love this boot and will try to get in a few more wears during this winter season.

My second pair of rare shell - AoM Cigar LWBs circa 2011 that have remained dark brown, even after all these years. An MTO from the time one could do individual special orders.

Not sure if others have noticed, but the Alden shoe trees have a less refined feel/look to them than before. I expressed my concern to the Rochester Shoe Tree Company (they're the company who makes the shoe trees for Alden) and here's their response:

Didn't realize I would be contacted by their President, but glad they appear to be looking into this.

For those unaware, these are the differences I pointed out to them:

Good gawd, we’ve got some ugly office carpet. Bonus shot of just how much of a color match I have with Davis and my suede jacket…….

Appreciate the words Steve. Jacket is from JCrew. While I am not thrilled with paying full price, I had been on the hunt for something like this for a few years. It is precisely what I was looking for. I think the only review is mine

Does anyone know if Alden is making natural Chromexcel models again? I have always wanted a pair of natural CXL plain toe bluchers, and my natural Chromexcel Indy boots are a size too short and and a size too wide, would like to replace them .
