1) Refresh to update your "last edited" times on the posts you are referencing.
2) SF, like most forum software, factors times on "posted" rather than when being "edited" which is what happened in this case, the other person posted, I quoted then wrote my response and then posted, he then updated after I responded.

So, whether or not he was responding to my response by editing his initial reply, there was still no reason to take the dig. Make sense?

If people do not want to be as clear and/or detailed oriented as I am that is fine but don't be pissy and start attacking me by making intentional derogatory statements such as "Except that positioning yourself as authority on all things is exactly what you are doing."

@jpm1 jumped in and should have found a better and/or more adult way to disagree in his initial reply. I believe him to be an Alden expert so he could have written something such as "Alden and some of the retailers just call it white and that is what we do as well" yet he chose to write an inflammatory response even though I had not engaged him in any way.

Go back an re-read my initial post in which I stated "I think..." which hardly means I am positioning myself as an expert. Or maybe when I wrote in my follow up reply, "I do not know enough about Alden's colors and what retailers may call them so I will defer to the actual experts..." was another example of me being transparent that while I know a great deal about colors and color theory, I did not claim to be an expert on "Alden colors".

Might I suggest Vanilla? Not at all to be confused with Vanilla Bean, as that is certainly not Vanilla.

Vanilla is a good suggestion, thanks. I know for sure the only way I am wearing any flavor (or color) of milkshake is if I accidentally spill some on my shirt, pants, or boots.

Hate all of them, but same difference. I can’t be bothered to split hairs about things i’d never wear.

Anyway, how about those $4,000 “gently used” 994s on Grailed? No, shipping is not included.
And that is what is great about Alden, there are enough colors/makeups/styles to go around. Personally, I like the milkshake/lighter color suede, but totally respect and support YOUR choices in footwear. After all, it's what makes America great, different opinions and respect for all of them :)
