Rummaging through the shoe closet this morning and pulled out saddle shoes as in a text conversation with an Alden dealer about Aberdeen sizing. Took pictures and I honestly didn't realize I had 3 pair of saddles, thought I only had 2.........

Beauties! Do the shell Dovers fit differently than the 990 PTB ?

They did for me. The Barrie PTBs in 11eee fit fine. The dovers in the same size were too tight. Why? Not sure, but it was what it was.

Rusticalf Indy's have landed. Very soft and supple leather with a nice grain. These are not brown Country Calf as someone had speculated.

The opposite of what I might have expected since the Dovers are usually unlined.

Nice! I love that brown the most. Almost like a deep chocolate.

It is a different brown than any other Indy I have, and that includes 403's, 405's, and others. It's a keeper for sure. And the leather is so freakin' soft, I can't get over it. They feel like a leather suede( yes I know suede IS leather) or something. ZERO break in required with these guys. Thanks to the kind folks at Ealdwine for putting them up for sale!
