Good morning, my AoM jumper boots have this going on with the speed hooks, and it seems to be getting worse. Has anyone seen anything like this? Should I get on top of these before they tear through or am I just overreacting? I'm pretty bummed, as these are a replacement for a pair that was doing the same thing (which, thanks to AoM for doing it)
Vintage rugby with an unruly collar pairs well with color 8 boots. Cold and crisp in the morning here!

A bittersweet walk to the post office to bid adieu to the Dr. Jones boots, which are headed to their new owner. Some new #8 u-tips inbound from Adam at AoC will soften the blow, however...

After a long wait, the Plymouth has landed. This is Alden Madison’s revamp of the 974 on the Plaza last. I’m a 9.5E on the Hampton with full-facings closure and assumed that I’d have no trouble with that size on the Plaza, but as evidenced by the attached photo: no dice.
Here’s hoping they stock EE (or maybe even EEE, but I’m not holding my breath).
Didn’t expect the waist on the Plaza to be so narrow compared the Hampton, but the Plaza fit seems reminiscent of the Allen Edmonds 65 last for my foot. I’ll post better pictures, assuming I can get the fit right.
Damn this flat, high-instep foot of mine! View attachment 1254495
Plaza, cap toe, Ealdwine doesn't get much better on a Monday afternoon View attachment 1254493
Looks like I may have stumbled into a grail pair of Ravello boots. ? Now I need to sell some pairs to make room and cover the cost.

Plot twist: the reason Alden doesn't produce more whiskey shell shoes is because they also start with color 8 and sun-fade. In New England, that takes way too long to be profitable! The faded boot project. About a month in the sun and am plan to leave them out there another month. I am really liking the results thus far.

I would start with 9E in plaza; it runs about a 1/4 size long and is not a wider last.Hi Guys!
Quick question- I am a 8.5 D on Trubalance and a 8.5 D on Barrie ( I feel like I should be more like a 8.5 E on Barrie) I have had some issues finding the right size in narrower lasts. The best fitting boot I have is an 9 E in aberdeen last. For plaza last would a 9.5 C (narrow fit) fit well?
Thanks for the help..!
