You talking the plastic or metal taps? I’ve used the plastic ones before but just ordered some metal ones.

I've only used plastic though I'm seriously considering thw integrated taps for my antique edge footwear. Just not sure who to use.

Lulu’s are the only way to go, those plastic and metal ones that are nailed on are a big waste IMO.

I know you're right. I've got 2 pretty good cobblers available here in Pittsburgh but neither is comfortable with doing them and I just don't feel like the hassle (and added expense) of shipping what will ultimately be 3 pairs of boots and 2-3 pairs of shoes. I really don't mind the topys on dark edges but not so much on light one. ?.

What about topy in brown rather than black? Would that work for you? When I've had my shoes topy'd, they will usually ask if I want them in brown or black depending on the color of the shoe and edge.
