Do folks find that the Barrie sits lower in the toebox than the Aberdeen and Hampton last? I am 99% sure that I wear a Barrie 10.5D (Aberdeen/Hampton 11.5C) and I feel like the ring toe on my right foot feels a bit rubbed on the top after a wear.

The shell boots are brand new so it could just be a break in thing.

PS: I have tried Barrie 11C and it was way too tight. 11D Barrie felt large in the toebox so I settled with a 10.5D.

Tongue Pad would mostly do its job on instep area. Say my low volume slender feet would feet much better in Van last by giving a better grip on instep, thus lessen the heel slip and bonus - since less room on instep to vamp, the vamp will crease/roll much less than without the pad.

Thanks! Going to try a tongue pad. Don’t need an insole insert cause that’s coming from the bottom which o don’t need. Need it on my skinny boney instep.

That describes pretty much everywhere I go.
Maybe I just don’t go to the right places, eh?

I bet! Maybe you/we are just THAT good!! We all know most men (even those who should know/afford better) wear terrible dress shoes.

Those are nice and I'm sure you know the 10 year old rode hard Indy boots would have been the nicest shoes in the joint :)

This is true! Just so stylish!

Bar lacing looks good, excellent knot as well!!

Thanks, it really looks good to my eye. This morning's Berluti knot was a perfect one :) Just learned to tie that know no more than 2 months ago!

Oh heck yes!!!! Excellent pairing with socks/trousers also.

Superb shoes. I wish I had a pair. I love the tassel design.

When one gets the Berluti Knot down, it is the best knot for shoelaces, looks symmetrical and stays tied. Took me a while to get it, but so glad I did.
