So the wife ask, why do you have 2 pair of exactly the same boots, after I changed following snow shoveling. I tried to explain that one pair is Commando and one pair are A/T lug, but just got rolling of the eyes and a "whatever" View attachment 1072212 View attachment 1072213
Not a big difference although I feel like the Lug sole is grippier, and I have no reservation attacking deep snow or mud/slush with the lug. Commando is grippy, but just don't want to really get it wet as one pair needs to stay "clean"Do you notice a big difference in grip between the two soles in foul weather? Or is it mostly a desire not to get the exposed leather on the commando sole wet?
View attachment 1072299 Thought I’d add to the natty talk. I put GG waxed rounds on. Also, excuse the messy denim. I’m gonna send them off to be cleaned up once my new naked and famous pair arrives.
I keep wanting to hit the like button again (or harder) for these...
I think I have the same pair with the same laces. One of my favorites.
Snowy/Rainy day in the DC area today.
What is everyone's go to Alden for bad weather? And by bad weather I mean, you know you'll be stepping in puddles and getting your shoes wet.
