Morning gents. A good Friday eve to you! Wearing a style we don't see here much. Full strap loafer. Maiden voyage of my color 8 Brooks Brothers low vamp loafer. Absolutely love the styling on these.

wow that's great. I struggle to find the right pants between slim but not too slim, will definitely go check them out. Thanks!
I love my Raleigh Martins, though they are pricey. I guess it is incentive to run a single pair hard...

J Crew Natural CXL WTB or, as I refer to them, "compliment supermagnets". Mrs. Darkclassic likes them too - so I got that goin for me, which is nice.

I keep eyeing the Martin orgininals ever since you and a couple others recommended them. Certainly pricey, just just need to close my eyes and hit buy.

OK, I just ordered my first pair of Aldens, the CXL Indys. Alden of SF is sending me two pairs to try on. This is like accepting an invitation to "spend the weekend" at one of those retreat centers operated by the Hare Krishnas or the NXVIM cult, right?

Awesome! Well I had said they are versatile! :fonz: It's kind of a rare model, not seen much around here. Lots of boots!

I am getting tons of heel slip in them but it's my first wearing. They're exactly the same as the tassel loafer, leather sizing and all, correct? The same vamp height? It seems the soles just don't want to flex possibly.

I find they fit the same. Aberdeen is kind of a weird last. Works well for my foot in e size, but I get a fair amount heal slip during break in. Once the foot bed settles it's extremely comfortable.

I found Aberdeen to be a last that my foot just fits right out of the box, once I got the sizing right. Darn good last for loafers, is all I can say.
