What's the consensus on a black or antique welt on 975's?
DittoGood stuff. Great deal. I bit on the "Bordeaux" color
Leffot at 10 Christopher street is a nice shop, much cozier than Alden on Madison but Alden will obviously have more to try on. It's real tight in there though (A of M) probably a 13' sq show room. Leffots got other high end brands as well.Hypothetical speaking, if you found yourself in Manhattan with a couple hours to try Aldens on, where would you go?
Leffot is always a good time if you're in the area. If you're uptown, I'd start at AoM (Madison, between 42nd and 43rd), and walk up to CitiShoes (Park, between 56th and 57th).
+1, definitely AoM and CitiShoes, and try very hard to make it down to the village to check out Leffot.
Madison.
I agree- AoM has a good selection- Citishoes you may luck out and find an exotic in your size-

Midtown is better if you want to check out more than 1 place. Alden, Citishoes, C&J and AE are all somewhat close to each other.
Leffot is nice but don't expect to find a ton of Aldens in your size, their stuff gets snatched up quick.
