+1 on the Frans Boone suede LWBs, the gold eyelets are a nice touch.

I've got a pair of plain toes in snuff that I've been thinking about adding eyelets to for a while. Seeing how nice yours look put me over the edge. Mine are now in the mail to ahonshoes. Hope they look as nice as yours. Thanks for the pic.

So very nice indeed. I'll definitively have to short list this one. Looks less brownish and a little more yellowish on your picture than of frans boone's website.

I have super dumb question: why some suede is just called "suede" and some other "snuff suede" ? I'm guessing the finish is a bit different ? Hard to see in pictures.
Cheers

I have no problem with what anyone here has said about "grail" status. It certainly does evolve for the individual as time, availability, and introduction to other options present themselves.

BTW, Harrison's in Alabama just received a small run in whiskey shortwing bluchers on aberdeen. I got the call a couple of days ago but will pass as I acquired whiskey LWBs about a year ago from DC. Thought it would be overkill... Good looking makeup, dare I say grail-like for someone out there??
Gotta say thanks for the PSA here. Just received mine today and they look awesome! Wouldn't have known otherwise...

This set of pics illustrates that the Alden game shouldn't just be about the chasing of grails. That nst boot on Aberdeen looks so much wearable than my Ravello nst boot on the same last, which gets no wear (and not because I'm Tifosi-ly being preservationist about them). Reverse chamois is a brilliant stand-in for suede and requires basically no maintenance (if anything, I've been looking to scuff my reverse chammy wt boots from Yenni so they look less brand new).

Where are those from? AoC? Just curious since the current makeup has 'waterloc' soles.

I like those.

THE RAVEN RYDEN BOOT

Hey guys,

We've contacted every customer on this preorder. About 2/3 of the boots were claimed, another 1/3 are open stock. I've named it the "Raven Ryden" due to the all-black sole edge. It looks seriously tough with just that punch of brass on the eyelets.

Online inventory has been updated. These are ready to ship immediately:

Hey guys,

After 14 pairs of Allen Edmonds, I have switched over to the dark side. I picked up a pair of 405 Indy boots from Leffot in NY on vacation and plan to pre order on a shell wingtip boot from brick and mortar.

Can someone suggest a belt to go with my 405 indys? Sorry if this has been discussed before.

Dudes should get on The Raven because, well, brass eyelets are basically turning into a "never more" in the Alden-verse. These boots are very versatile. Wear them with your raw denim, but then wear them with your Ep rivets, and maybe even your Walts.
