oh good to know, yes that's where it'd likely snag the most.Last years grey herringbone had lined sleeves. So that should help layer knits underneath.

appreciated. I think the herringbone is lighter, more open weave and more of a knit (at least as I'd think of it). but good to know none the less.I have the melton wool Winter Plage. I don't know how it compares to the herringbone wool version, but I think it works pretty well with a knit underneath. The wool is high quality and has a relatively smooth hand feel, I've never had anything underneath catch or pull. The wool is like that on a standard peacoat but maybe a little thinner. I think you could consider it mid-weight, it's not very heavy.
You can see the thickness in this picture:

yes, I wear it often and look for reasons to do so. Not hard either- I honestly feel like it can be worn in so many levels of formality- open, sleeves rolled with a t-shirt (or not) and bathing suit, to over an Oxford and trousers to work. Not sure why exactly, maybe the cut or the rumpled linen which is unlike any other linen I've come across. All of these reasons why I'm now after a F/W wool version that can hopefully fill the same seasonal gap.Do you guys find yourself wearing the Plage coat a lot? The martingale cinch I'm still dumbfounded about. I think I'd prefer without it and it seems easy to remove from the seams. Thoughts?
I have a red winter shell blouson, do you want pictures of that? If so, what specifically do you want photos of?Would love some more photos of the winter shell blouson. Really interested in the charcoal one as I'm really into cropped looks at the moment. Do you use the cinch at the waist?
Also I believe the cloth is heavier than my actual full length winter coats, which is an interesting proposition being so short.
If you check the gallery in this thread I’ve got 2 pics of me wearing the red winter one. You can make it look boxy or baloony, can’t imagine it looking very “tailored” unless you’re sizing down a bunchSure, I'm trying to visualize how it looks in the various configurations, you know, open, closed, with or without cinch. Whether it's more baloon-y or more tailored (though it looks more like the latter from the little I've seen).
Or just your favorite way(s) to wear it.
Looks great! I'm still hoping for them to bring back the black and white houndstooth after I missed out on it a couple of years ago.In anticipation of the upcoming weather- send in your winter Plage inspiration pics! I'm specifically after the looser weave herringbone from last year and how it wears as a jacket vs overshirt. Here is my linen version to return the favor, and a few CUTTs for good measure.
