The leather on my 2 pair is so supple, I sometimes question whether it is leather at all. Some of the highest quality leather I have encountered to date.Hello everybody,
actually I am interested in a balmoral boot from Yearn, which is available at Aterton in London.
I am familiar with the shoes from Crockett & Jones, Heinrich-Dinkelacker and also Carmina und TLB Mallorca, which I am wearing right at this moment.
Hence how does Yearn, and the other Chinese shoe makers, compare in the quality of the craftsmanship and the leathers to the known European mid-tier shoe makers?
Enjoy your evening and best regards
Pascal

I am really honoured to hear my name mentioned. Thanks for your kindness.Would definitely love to know more / hear about some of the mid range offerings from china. I'm waiting for two pairs from some middle/low price range offerings (Oct Tenth mainline & Gulun handwelt) to arrive so i can compare them against the higher end stuff. A lot of the Chinese brands don't seem to get much attention internationally but Fupei does some great articles on Wiracetas, Badia, and others.

Sad news, there are quite few bespoke shoemakers in China who regularly take orders.Do any of these shoemakers travel for bespoke fittings? I've always been curious about Chinese shoemakers but I haven't done much research into them.
Not trueMany of my enthusiast friends commented that “the best part is probably the box”.
Craftsmanship-wise, not made to the level of Oct Tenth or Jim Jun, not to mention Acme.
