Hi everyone,

Maybe someone here can can provide some advice. I am young but not resistant to pleated pants. However, it's not a flattering style for me, at least when I wear pleated pants like I do with flat front, at the waist. So do pleated pants look better when worn at the navel line, or maybe even higher? I notice that a lot of people who wear pleated pants with braces tend to wear their pants much higher and they look terrific.

I think you are confusing the waist and the hips.

Anyway, I do agree that pleated pants look better with a higher rise. They should be at the waist, so that the pleats cover the belly. Few things look worse than a paunch hanging over a waistband, with pleats underneath.

Check out Moofoofan's blog, his ambrosi pants are the perfect example of pleats that are perfect.

I haven`t really measured or anything, but I don`t really notice a difference in my flat fronts and pleated pants. I think they have the same rise. Basically I just get pleats (singe or double) depending on my mood and the rest of the measurements stay the same (I think).

The same goes for cuffs.
