Whole line is very :confused2:.

These are $6,500. You'd get a better fit from Suitsupply.

Yeah, the suits do look a bit awkward on the models. Kind of like Brioni is too late to the short, skinny suit thing. Maybe they should get a fading metal band to model their clothes?

It really looks like they are trying to get away from that hypermasculine, swelled chest and broad shoulders look that they are known for - the James Bond Brioni - with not great results.
I always thought of them as purveyors of the Roman cut, full chest and shoulders. Seem like they are now trying to branch out into territory that's already well staked out by their competitors. Why pay $4k for that Brioni when you can get a Zegna for $3k or a Canali for $2k?

I should check out the Brioni botique on Madison some time, I won't be surprised if the photo is not how it actually wear. They typically show some model who should be wearing 40L wearing 38S...

The blog Ivy Style sometimes feels like a daily blog where people gather around each day to say "yea no one wears Brooks Brothers anymore." It's like that day in day out for the last ten years.

You missed the best part- where the people swear never to buy made in China "crap", yet complain that the USA made items are too expensive, yet lament that all their favourite brands which they are too cheap to shell out money to support are losing business.

The Ivy Style thing is fading into the "grumpy old man" stage of life I guess.

I wish WF Buckley were still alive actually. I miss him almost, but not quite, as much as I miss Hitchens.

The Brioni cuts are pretty strange. I fit well in most Zegna and Canali (and TF, Samuelsohn, etc...), but when I try on Brioni the proportions seem to be off. For example, narrow shoulders but large chest.

Gaetano was a great cut though.
