I just bought a pair of Alden Shell Saddle 994. They are spectacular. The seller said they were worn one time. They look like it. BUT, I realized they are much too wide for me in the Barrie last. I paid $350 and I felt like that was a great deal (I haven’t seen them any less than $450-475).

So, if anyone is looking for 11D Barrie last Classic gorgeous Saddle Shoes, let me know. $350

Or if somebody has 11C or 11B in some other style or last and wants to trade in (plus some $$), I can do that too.

I tried them on in my carpeted office and took two steps.

Up for grabs are my Anatomica unlined Color 8 cap toes made on the Modified last in size 9E. These are fresh off a perfectly executed resole by Larossa Shoe where I also had them change the edge to a darker antique (as opposed to black) and convert the all matching eyelets to brass eyes and hooks. I love these boots but after having foot surgery I find Modified doesn't fit me as well as it once did so I wanted to pass them along to another lucky SFer. These were initially TSM seconds but I've never been able to find the defect that made them seconds. Note that I'm not aware of any other unlined boots produced by Alden and with these also having a gusseted tongue they're a truly unique makeup.
