Hi All

I posted this a few days ago, but I cannot now find it. Perhaps a victim of the server wobble.

Anyway, I fancy some tassel loafers for summer. But pointier lasts seem to be prolific and my feet are not that shape.

Can anyone suggest a suitable shoe from an English maker that might be more suitable for a wider foot.

These are close, but I am not keen on the light sole.

Many thanks.

I wear tassel loafers and don't like pointy shoes. Not sure which of these will fit you, but I wear:

- Alden for Brooks Brothers. This is the same as their stock model with just a slightly different detail on the back of the shoe. Alden stopped producing for Brooks Brothers, but you can find their stock model from them.

- Crockett & Jones Cavandish

- Allen Edmonds Grayson

I believe all three companies off wide widths, if you need.

Sorry to revive the thread but I actually got a pair of Langham IIs (C&J tassel loafers) very recently. Their Jermyn St flagship was selling Langhams at a discounted rate as they are discontinued now. I have wide feet, so accommodated better than their more popular Cavendish model. I'm a EE fitting but E width 1/2 a size up for the Langham did the trick. Might be worth looking into, if you haven't bought a pair yet.

I bought some Barker Studland.

Now, Barker is one of the more modest English makers, but both of the pairs I have are really comfortable.

See if you can find some Allen Edmonds Achesons on eBay. I normally take a UK 7G, and found the US 8E a little large.
