Thank god for the smaller rtw brands like De Petrillo who makes a model with a 25cm/10” leg opening.

Yeah 25cm is pretty ideal afaic, my go-to width right now

I kinda dig this look from Todd Synder. I would eliminate the coat and add an orange beanie and maybe a scarf with orange in it worn on top of the jacket.

Feeling the Teddy boy vibes here

I agree. I saw this a few weeks ago and was wondering what the brand was. I'd like to get something like this. Does anybody know?
Hard to tell. Some sort of blazer/coverall hybrid. Could be Auralee or similar brand.

you can try your luck at DM’ing the costume designer - he’s on IG but doesn’t seem to reply to comments questions to his posts

Bent Van Looy works some pretty conventional CM-flavored stuff (I think he uses some local tailor) into more relaxed outfits pretty organically.

It's certainly a fine line from this to just sloppy CM/CM casual but I think it falls on the good side here (especially the first two) though it's very possible it's entirely down to the wearer/context. Still, undeniable comfyness.

Somewhat inspired by the last pic, today was a good day for tailoring as outerwear.

No experience with the brand unfortunately, I also always mix up Phigvel and that other brand Phlannel.

I like the sack-like look of that Phigvel DB jacket there with the flaring out and sloping shoulders, almost gives an A-shape silhouette (or egg-shape depending on the trousers...).

Same idea here (Pitti alert!):

though I'm not too fond of the below-the-knee situation

A blurhms set that NMWA is dropping tmw has got me looking through their IG for inspiration. Here’s the best (imo) that I found:

Looks like same top in each with different cuts for the trousers. I like the last one the best — wider pants with a taper. I dig the drop shoulder and cardigan like feel of the top. Definitely a vibe I’d like to emulate, but wondering what you guys think.

@LeBeef they caught my eye as well. A bit expensive for me after some recent purchases I've made but I considered it. I like both pics #1 and 3 you shared, fit in #2 not so much.

@LeBeef last one for me too, I think you pretty much got the vibe already based on your recent WAYWTs

I like #2 a lot but it's got more to do with the particulars, pose, sunglasses, colors... I'm iffy on the proportions for general use

I think you lose a lot if you remove the slight imbalance between jacket and trousers there.

Thanks — I’ve found I have a mental block trying to reproduce the silhouette with a tailored top, where just sizing up can ruin the proportions. I’d like to have the swd suiting option though for situations that wearing a more normal or cm suit would be too stiff.
