Is there anyone who has the 4-Ply Traveller Wool trousers and can tell how they perform in sunny hot days with temperatures over 90-95F?

I have the Milano 4-ply pants. They're what I'd describe as medium-heavy weight. They're fine for indoor office temperatures no matter the weather, but if it's 90+F and you're going to be outside all day, I'd choose something else.

It's a great fabric, though. It drapes very nicely, keeps a crease, and is nice and matte, so goes well with odd jackets and/or knitwear.

Thanks for the input! They do sound too hot for what I experience most of the summer, but will probably get 1-2 pairs because it seems they are great for three season wear.

I also like the matte finish and I'm sure the weight helps with drape.

So I definitely miss the craziness of Jort. I would never try even 20% of what the styles were, but they were very fun

Everything has been kind of bland last couple of seasons. If I didn't already have a solid wardrobe, I would probably go straight to custom-made and avoid RTW whereas prior to recent happenings, most of my stuff was RTW

I don't have much to say except Suit Supply really was great. They got more expensive and the styles don't really do much for me anymore. But they're the only brand I've ever tried where I could just trim the waist and everything else fit. And I'm 5'9. It never made sense why a Dutch company would have a perfect fit for the average Canadian male, but here we are. If they ever get back to the more fun stuff I'll try them again. The pants never fit me, but the jackets were the absolute best bang for the buck.

Are you 5'9" with the hair? (Sorry, I couldn't help).

They reformulated their pants in the last 2-3 years, so it's a whole new world. I'm thankfully easy to fit

I thought recently suitsupply has some style change, instead of going soft everything, they got some of the semi structure/relax fit thing going on in their ad

I wish I could see their internal numbers for what their sales have been since after COVID. They are a private company so that's not accessible. But there have been changes definitely. Thank goodness they axed that ladies' department, because that was not a good direction

Interesting! I think the last couple of seasons have been the best they've ever had. They have been very on trend, finding inspiration from the likes of Loro Piana, Saman Amel, and P. Johnson, while still making it look like their own. They have also mostly avoided the most outlandish looks which they might have done in the past. Maybe that's why you feel it's bland?

You can get their financial statements from the Dutch Chamber of Commerce. My understanding is that they are doing well:
SuitSupply saw its revenue rise 11 % to 553 million euros last year, while net profit rose to 30 million euros,

I agree that their last few seasons are very boring - almost no textures and patterns. When there are patterns - most of the time they are too formal and only work for suits. Almost no full canvas sport coats. Outerwear made in a light wool and pretty short. There was one proper Polo coat last winter season and it sold out super fast.

Out of the 81 blazers they currently have on their website, 27 have a pattern. That is one third. The patterns are subtle yes, but like I said, very on trend.
that's two thirds of plain jackets. Way too much. Also they use Italian fabrics, so there's barely any textures there - i.e. no tweeds

That just sound very mainstream, I think I’m the few in office ever show up in tweed

I have a ton window pane, don’t think that’s average either.

I mean in the office it’s 95% solid I would say, I’m the few ones wear pinstripe too
