I know this is a big ask, but if they'll let us do mushroom chamois you can take my money now. You will sell a lot of these if we can do it.
I put in the ask. Meh, one way or the other, if these do get made, I might give the original voters a bit of a discount - 10%, probably. No, the discounts are not stackable.

That's cool. 10 percent discount on all designs this round would be cool as well, hehe.

So... change of plans.

The tan horse roughout side is too uneven for Viberg to want to attempt a roughout boot with it.  Unless we decide to go grain side, we have 2 roughout and suede options.  This is a big enough change that I will not hold people to it.  However, we co have some good options:

Aged Bark R/O: https://viberg.com/products/scout-boot-aged-bark-roughout?variant=24880231368
Snuff Calf Suede: https://viberg.com/products/service-boot-snuff-calf-suede

Both have the effect that we are looking for, and both will look nice.  The snuff suede is closer, overall, the the horse roughout, I think.  Your thoughts?

The rest of the boots are set except that all the stitching for the stitchdown needs to be white.

Cheers,

Fok.

Bummer. But agree these things happen.

Mushroom Chamois looks great. I might be able to get behind it just need to find a few more picks. I own a lot of brown boots already.

Of the 2 above...the aged bark would be my choice. I own enough snuff. I'd prefer lighter like natural CXL roughout

I compromised in order to support @rydenfan's Chelsea, but, now that it isn't going to be made, I don't feel compelled to go for some random suede Chelsea offering. As others commented, I would have bought one of the ones in Mr. Porter's sale if that was all it was about.

It's not a big deal; these things happen; I have plenty of nice boots. Next time, I will wait until finalized make ups are available, and then decide if any of them appeal to me more than the stock offerings out there. Life is too short to fantasize about make-ups, debate details, set up an account to vote on one, etc. etc. etc. and then get, "oh, never mind."

The mushroom chamois can look either a dark brown or a nice olive color depending on the lighting. I've put together an album of photos that I mostly got from Instagram and a couple of stockists that have two makeups using the leather (Lost & Found's 1035 Scout Boot and Brooklyn Clothing Co's 2030 Service Boot). There are also photos of Frank's Chelsea in this leather. My favorite is the aged/last photo of the L&F Scout Boot.

Interesting leather for sure. Let's see what they say. Those pics appear to show both side of the leather. The top few pics being the roughout and the middle ones not. I think that's what's driving some of the variation in color, texture, etc. I love chamois in general

I really did go into this wanting something much lighter in tone though. But interested to see what Brett says

So are these the 4?

Ryden's Chelsea
Spymaster
SCSB
SInister Oxford
Yes. The only other change is that for stitchdown, only white stitching is possible for the sole stitching.

I heard from Drew, and SOME mushroom chamois is available, I am just waiting for his go ahead, but that part of the order, you may only get a week to get on it, since it is very limited, it seems. The other makeups will get the usual 10 days.

Cheers,

Fok.
