Auction 7: Were camels the original thirst trap? What does that even mean? A natural camel hair shawl cardigan from @eHaberdasher

Let's start the bidding... now. This auction will end on 12/19

There is a lot of merit to natural fibers, even more when they're already beautiful in their natural state. Camel hair has always had this great color to it, and a shawl cardigan in this warm, soft, classic and luxurious material is iconic. Pick a decade (ok maybe not the 2000s but I'd love to be proven wrong) and you'll find a camel hair shawl cardigan in the best men's stores and catalogues.

eHaberdasher has put together a great one here with a well-balanced collar, classic leather buttons, and two hip pockets to round things off. Made is Scotland (as it rightfully should be!) and retails at $695. This one is a special order so will ship in late January, making for a very nice post-holiday treat just in time for the true brutality of winter.

We will start the bidding at 1/2 of the retail of this package, or $348. The bidding will go by increments of $25.

Please bid generously and often! As with all of these auctions, everything will be going to support a long-time Styleforum member who has ALS.

I won this last yes
...I FVCKING LOVE IT. IT IS AMAZING. YOU WANT TWO. TRUST ME

And I won this two or three years ago and can attest that @PhilKenSebben is not lying about the quality. I wear mine all the time from about November to March.

I think @greekgeek needs to bid on this one so we can all wear matching sweaters at our next Waffle House meat up.

Guys, calm down. Unlike you two, I am not nearly old enough to rock that, yet...

Jk, I do like it though.

Really, I just want you to buy it, never wear it, store it for 3 years until mine starts to wear out a bit, and then sell it to me at a discount. Because your wife made you, just like yo have done with all the other **** you have sold me 😂

Nobody has a wider variety of random stuff bought at random times in random aces around the Midwest than @greekgeek's import/export discount shop: Come for the alligator leather, stay for the spanikopita

And just now the Greek delivers by texting us pictures of a beautiful brand-new-looking leather bag he's probably had squirreled away in his basement for a decade. 😄

Whoever runs the auction next year should reach out to him to try to donate some leather goods or something. I'm convinced he's actually running a rogue Hermes store out of his house or something.

That reminds me, dibs on first right of refusal for when you dump that Express #2 in favor of your flashy new arm candy (luxe bag 😎).
