Don't forget to vote for a winner in our February haiku contest!
Rancourt & Co.
Rancourt & Co. is a Maine-based footwear company that has produced hand sewn moccasins for decades. While they built name as a third-party producer for companies like Allen Edmonds, Ralph Lauren and Eastland, they debuted their own label a few years ago and have become a player in the men's moccasin market. They also make some killer boots: I'm a huge fan of their wingtip boots.
Viberg
What can I say about Viberg that hasn't already been said? Viberg is the ne plus ultra of high-end mens workboots. They combine the perfect construction of real world bootmakers like Russell and White's with the styling of fashion forward brands. What's better than having a pair of handmade, suede Kudu service boots by a company that also makes shoes for smokejumpers and loggers? Plus, they love to collaborate with StyleForum to produce amazing, custom, one of a kind MTO runs. Too dope.
Red Wing
Red Wing is a venerable American bootmaker that's always had a sizable presence in the American boot market. Their shoes come in two categories: functional workboots with features that are necessary for an actual work environment (steel toe, comfort insole) but with lackluster styling, and their fashionable, vintage-esque, classic lineup which is what most people on StyleForum wear. Everyone should have a pair of Red Wings in their closet: the customer service is unbeatable, you can beat the **** of them and they always come back strong, and they have a credibility born from history.
