Streetwear Crowd: Where do you work?

Last weekend I wore Julius and Rick Owens to a frat party.

Grad student/teaching middle school.

Next year i'll probably be up in boston area either teaching middle/high school or working some mediocre office job. Whatever i can find to pay the bills.


Magician- Same. I wore raf and cdg to play beer pong a week ago.

Then again, ledger seems to hang out with other fashion school type people it seems from pics with others.

I don't know. Every outfit and others i haven't posted i wear around my friends who don't wear anything but flip flops, shorts/faded jeans, and tshirts and no one really cares.

I'd wear rick owens to frat parties if I had Rick Owens. I wear whatever I have whenever, I go with my mood more than the situation. My wardrobe doesn't have anything that would be "weird" by anyone's standards, but I'm pretty sure I'd rock it if I did. Not gonna be one of those "Selling Rick Owens/Raf/Jil/etc., worn twice"

I imagine it's because you are insecure. You are following very low standards for the sake of not standing out. **** fitting in with the "aesthetic" of a college campus, you spend all this money on clothes to wear them on the weekend?

One of the things that I like about academia is that you're given a certain license for eccentricity in appearance.

Haha. This is true. I wore my red wesc windbreaker to teach one day and one of the 7th graders tried to rag on it saying something about michael jackson but then a couple of the girls chimed in with "nuh uh. Mr M is stylin. you just hatin cuz you aint got no style"

Seriously.

Wow your stupid. I highly doubt hes insecure, there is standing out in a good way like wearing nice fitting clothes that fit the situation but wearing a suit to a 8 AM class makes you stand out and look like a idiot.

I hold an executive position at a small, 30+ employee digital music company. I wear jeans every day. I am frequently the most "dressed up" person in the company because my shirts typically have collars on them and I wear sweaters. Yea...
