Just bought some new New Balance 2001, while these aren't as ill as my vintage Nikes, they also don't kill my feet. But, they do smell. I put my Nordstorm cedar shoe trees in them for about 36 hours and now they smell like a cross between nature and Foot Locker. No smell at all, so sweet. Just some advice.

shoe trees can be used for any shoes, not just dress shoes, and your sneaks will last longer for you, simply because they'll keep their shape, that's all

If I have a problem with the smell of my shoes I slip a bar of soap in them.

Oh yeah, and then there's that footlocker sneaker perfume.

you can buy "cedar socks" for sneakers
it's basically a canvas tube of cedar shavings that fits into your running shoes to combat smell

hmmm, never really needed trees - the soles tend to wear out long before anything else goes.....
