STEPHAN SCHNEIDER SS16 PRE-ORDERS: FLAGS

It's that time again, and we couldn't be more excited to bring you our selection of pre-orders from Stephan Schneider. We decided to go beyond just outerwear this time, so this is a great chance to secure a unique piece that might not normally be stocked, or in a size that is quick to sell out.

Below, our selection of pre-orders for next Spring's collection, entitled "Flags" so delivery won't be until late winter or early spring. Please note that not all of these styles will be stocked by No Man Walks Alone as part of our regular stock, so if you see something you like, now is the chance to get it, and at a sweet discount too.

Outerwear:

"Banner" coat: classic Schneider details like integrated hood, soft cotton lining that is low-contrast but not completely tonal, and a nice selection of fabrics that suit its drape. We're offering it in three of these: a beige cotton canvas, a stiff black cotton, and a beautiful black and blue hopsack.

"Arms" cardigan: I would consider this more collarless jacket than cardigan, and the lightweight wool crepe lends itself well to this type of style. Just an awesome layering piece and one of my favorites from the collection.

Knitwear:

"Adjacent" lightweight cotton crewneck sweater: made up in a reverse weave with lots of depth from the different yarns. A subtle use of the collections motif but with a lot of character. We've got this in two colorways: a more classic blue/grey mix and an attractive teal/grey/navy mix.

"Brigade" cotton cardigan: our favorite chainmail style of knit in a great cardigan with side-seam pockets. Check this one out in the (imo) perfect navy/black mix or lighter colored blue/grey/navy mix.

Shirts:

"Flag" shirt: straightforward shirt with the usual Schneider details like unique top button spacing and smaller sized collar. Beautiful fabrics though! We were most taken by a bright multicolored check, and a bright horizontal stripe number that I couldn't put down.

"Crescent" shirt: this is really something special for those that are into it. A unique cotton dobby makes for a great layering piece, or a bit of a statement on it's own with the kimono sleeves. Just look how good it looks layered under the Arms cardigan!

Trousers:

"Hammer" trousers: Be you make any jokes, yes you can touch them, and yes, they are 2 legit. Now that that's out of the way, we wanted to offer these as they are a great summer cut that is on the roomier side of what Schneider makes, but not as roomy as the name might imply. Just a great shape with a single pleat. We thought these paired best with a slate blue slubby cotton/linen, and a smooth grey cotton. A perfect entry point for those that may have found our trouser selection from Schneider a bit too restricting in the past.

That about covers it, but you can see the full selection here. And again, don't forget to enter code PREORDER at checkout for your preorder discount.

I'll try to get some proper lookbook photos up for you guys ASAP, but the preorders will only be open for a few short days!

The ROTA Green wool/silk/linen trousers fabric sounds nice. Probably have to pass though :/ Schneiders pants never fit me.

I hope when your neuro program starts you keep a running count of how many brains you've touched so far. I imagine you might have touched a few so far.

Can you just touch the brain of a live person without causing any damage? Are they quite resilient?

I'm on the pediatric general surgery rotation right now. It's great! No brains but lots of guts!

I've touched many brains. Probably over 20.

Thou can touch brains lightly. You can even take parts out with not much defect. Heck people can have small benign tumors and they are fine!

That is a lot of brain touching. You should set up milestones where after 100 brains you reward yourself with some new schneider pants, etc.

Has anybody got the "seeds" long shirt? Does it run big? NMWA have a 6, I'm a 7 in botanical and garden shirts and the algae and merinos. I'd probably wear it as an over shirt in the fall so I'd want a little bit of room. Obv it's long and pretty much every long shirt I've tried has also been a little oversized in the body too, just wondering if this would work since its final sale.

Yeah, it runs a bit big in the body and sleeves, but the 6 will be in line with the 7 botanical and garden you already own - it won't be more oversized than those

Thanks! If it's not going to fit any roomier than the others I'm not going to be able to layer anything under it then :(
Still might get it

When I tried it on (a few times, lol) I thought it looked best over just a tee, preferably with only the top few buttons done
