Hello,

I'm looking for some sizing advice for a split toe derby on the classic last.

I wear the following:

Carmina Rain 8.5 UK: Length and width are okay but heel and instep are a bit too loose.
Carmina Uetam 8.5 UK: Very good fit overall
Vass F Last 42.5: Heel and instep and too loose. I feel I could probably size down to 42.
Enzo 363 Mod 8.5 UK: Length and width are okay but instep is too high.

As you can see I have a low instep and I'm debating between size 8 and 8.5 for St-Crispin?

Thank you

You are very similar to me. In all honesty you will have to try both shoes. To get best fit I can fit 8uk and 8.5uk. But generally go with 8.5uk narrow width.

Just thought some might be interested in seeing my recent acquisitions. Not yet cleaned as just being broken in. I am considering having them slightly burnished also. Let me know what you think.

Nice! Russian Calf?
They tend to develop a nice patina with wear.

Would you consider a personal last? You can always try both sizes you mention but you can add any adjustment you need and very likely achieve a better overall fit with a personalized last. https://www.saintcrispinsamericas.com/custom-options/fitting-services/

Just received these today! Can't wait to break them in. Better pics coming soon. View attachment 966591

Those are incredible! Enjoy!

I'm finally going to bite the bullet and order something (on a personalized last) from SC.

Just a small concern: For those of you who have flat foot, what has your experience been? Is the personalized last program able to accommodate foot that are very flat?
Thanks!

In short: yes, but I suggest going through Zach at St Crispins of the Americas.

I had many people take a look at my testers and he is, by far, the best at it, and if you’re cutting down the arch support you’ll need that.
