Would you mind to share a picture or two? That would be great!
Sure. I'm bored. Here are three examples, side by side and then individually. The first is a 530T Loafer with a GE6 (6MM sole) on my chiseled personal last. The second is a 600 seamless wholecut with a GE8 (8mm sole) on my chiseled personal last. The final is a custom double monk I had them do for my first commission with a NVARR10 (Norvegese welt w/ 10mm sole). You can see the difference most prominently in the picture with all 3. You can see slightly how the stack increases in the individual photos.

First wear of my 621 MTO in dark cognac. Photos taken by my kid (9 yr old girl). I ordered these in 8F (comparable to my C&J size) after trying on both 8 and 8.5F, which Dennis has recommended . These feel slightly snug, but not uncomfortable. More comments to come after a few more wears.

I have to say, I'm enjoying the creativity that I can have in ordering with St. C. with the consistency of ordering off my personalized last. I recently put in an order for a 529D in as conservative of black colors as I could think of, and I'm excited for it because it will fit exquisitely.

I’ve been ordering Crispins for over a decade now. I can say they are the best “RTW” that you can buy in terms of balancing objective quality, customization, fit and finish and price. I hope they will still be around in my lifetime. I love wearing them and caring for them.

Breaking in my 621 in dark cognac . In terms of execution and QC, the boots are flawless. They still feel quiet stiff after 8 hours of wear spread across 4 days. Not unexpected based on my initial research, and I'm noticing improvement with each wear. I feel I could use a tad more volume around the vamp, but my opinion may change after these are fully broken-in.

I don’t foresee myself buying shoes from anyone other than Crispins, Bemer, and Vilalta again.

edit

And Alden for cordovan boots and heavy shoes.

Amazingly strange, I see a mini-string on the point... when you see it you cannot unsee it...
Just my dirty mind I guess, I would go for a more understated split-toe. Like on the EG dover.

I see your point and the EG Dover is iconic, but I also like this "strange" style.

Any kind souls have a SC shoe tree in 7.5UK that they would be willing to part with? Not sure if the trees themselves are lasted, but if they are, I am looking for one in the chiseled last. But honestly, I'll take anything and am more than happy to pay for it.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
