Spring jackets beyond sport jackets?

I have one but bought it mainly for walking holidays. For social occasions I have an unstructured linen Nehru jacket: it has no pockets at all, which limits the practical options a bit, but it's turned out to be remarkably versatile otherwise. It's jacket-shaped enough to sharpen my silhouette but soft enough to look nonchalant when worn open, so I can throw it on over practically anything and look suddenly dapper.
