Seeking some guidance on what to do with this Linen-Cotton polo.

I purchased it in the spring second-hand - pretty sure it's the Summer 2023 version. I didn't wear it most of the summer, and was even thinking about selling it. I like the fit & fabric, but I find that the plackets are really wide and create a weird boxy my head's resting on a table kind of look.

Am I crazy for thinking that it looks odd? Is there a trick to getting the corners of the plackets to maybe curl in a little without pressing a crease into it?

For comparison, this is a vintage Emporio Armani Merino wool polo sweater that has a smaller placket and much more natural curve to it.

Edit: So after posting this and looking at it for a few minutes, I've decided I do not like the placket and will be selling. Check my Poshmark page if interested in purchasing. Forum users will get a special discount. Thanks!

Do all the Polo coats fit the same? On some, the website advises that they fit trim, on some others i.e. the pure camel polo coat, there is no such statement.

I've read reviews, taken measurements and generally scoured the internet trying to figure out my right size in various garments at S&M. It's really difficult to get a proper sense without trying on though. I think I'll have to order some different sizes to try on, e.g. M and L in sweaters, 15.5/35 and 16/35 in contemporary and same in slim for shirts, etc. Do anyone know how first time returns work? Could I in theory, if nothing fits, return everything, without charge? Would like to dial this in properly from the get-go so that I can order with more confidence later on.

Looks like you can try everything once.

Assuming you live in the States (prices vary by location):

For customers located in the USA, we offer a free return on your first purchase of a Suit/Sport Coat, Shoes, Dress & Casual Trousers, Outerwear, Knitwear and Dress & Casual Shirts. After your first purchase, then the following return fees will be deducted from your refund:

• $7.95 per return order for shirts, trousers, knitwear, accessories, shoes, and small items
• $14.95 for suits, sport coats, outerwear, & tailored clothing
• $5.95 restocking fee for any nested suit for which a trouser swap was requested and returned

In addition, the following restocking fees will apply for any returned item that is missing the following components:

• $5 restocking fee for any item that is returned with the tags and stitches missing
• $5 restocking fee for any item that is shipped with a hanger and returned without the hanger (e.g. suit, sport coat, outerwear)
• $5 restocking fee for any item that is shipped with a garment bag and returned without the garment bag (e.g. suit, sport coat, outerwear)

Hard to tell, but does it have side pockets like a lot of the other jackets S&M is selling? If you want to put your hands into pockets, do you have to unbutton the bottom flaps? I also wear 42 and M, but this is listed as M40 and L42 — I figured out with the chore jackets that M fits well and L is bulky, but I also can't easily layer under a M, so my last question for yall is: is this kind of jacket really only for cold months and for layering or does the removable shell make it work for warmer spring temperatures? Not sure I want to buy both and pick one to keep, just want to get the order over with in one go.

Thank you John! Yes, I do live in the US. I think what I'm a little confused about is the use of the word "a". I'm assuming they mean that I could return for example two sweaters, two suits, two shirts, etc, and not just one. Maybe I'm overthinking it, occupational hazard of being a lawyer I guess. Tried to reach out to customer support but haven't heard back yet, so thought I'd check to see if anyone has any experience.

No side pockets, only patch pockets. I am thinking about modifying mine and adding side pockets.

I wear suits in size 38 and went with Touring jacket in size 38.

You can also remove the puffer vest and wear it in spring too

Hello,

The online size chart indicates that the measurements of the sport shirt is the same as dress shirt for the same fit/neck size. Do you find this to be the case?

I have purchased a sport shirt once in the past and the abdominal/waist area was too tight compared to the many S&M dress shirts I have in the same fit/neck size. I am wondering if my experience with the sport shirt was due to a defect.
