Hey guys,

Previously, I found 36R was a bit too tight and 38R a little too long in the length. So, I purchased 38S sport coat this time and wanted to get your second opinion on whether the jacket is a bit too short or not. (I measured my other suitsupply jackets in 36R and it’s 1 inch shorter in length.)

I am so puzzled … Greatly appreciate your feedback in advance.

With the limitations of assessing length on photos, 38 R looks better, minimal sleeves alteration. 36 S doesn’t look like quite covering in the back. How tall are you?

38S is too short, in my opinion. Are the jackets the slim or contemporary fit? If slim, give 36R contemporary a try. If contemporary, perhaps try 38R slim. If none of those work and you really want this jacket, as others have suggested, I’d go with 38R.

I think the 38R looks the best. I’m identical size to you, and the 38R worked the best for me. 36R looked ok but felt very constricting. This is a S.C. That could potentially last you 10-15 years+. You want something that looks timeless and I think the 38R looks best.

Greatly appreciate your feedback. I can’t wait to find out my size for S&M and know exactly what size i need to order going forward. Will try those alternatives sizes: 38R Slim, if not 38R Contemporary

You are right. At this point in my life, i am looking to build my wardrobe with timeless items that will last more than a decade or two. Thanks for your valuable feedback mate!

38R looks better to me. By the way, the 38S sport coat is the brown check from Abaraham Moon ?

Is the grey herringbone the Harris Tweed? In that case, bear in mind that it's off by 0,3". Rick had confirmed that it came out 0,3" shorter than specs on average. HT is difficult to work with apparently since it's so spongy.

FWIW, I prefer the longer and larger size on you.

I bet they didn’t tell the factory what weight the fabric was ;)

Lol. FWIW, I've had SCs from other affiliate vendors twice the price that aren't on specs either. 0,25-0,3" is within acceptable margin of error IMO. I believe it's standard procedure to operate within that margin of error for handmade garments

I wish I understood how a 46R could be too tight and a 47R too big. I need to see if they are made to spec as the difference is only supposed to be .75”
