i can only speak for myself, but i never look at or care if the stripes are aligned at that part of the shirt. I care much more if the cloth is nice and the make Is decent and it fits me well.

Returns should not be necessary if you know your size and fit. I asked what fit you wear in BB shirts. In BB you can get Soho, Milano, Regent, Madison, or Traditional fits. In a 15.5-34 you are looking at a difference of about 8 inches in chest circumference between Soho and Traditional.
