Hey all,

As the only skincare affiliate here on Styleforum, I wanted to start a skincare mega thread where we could come together to talk about OTC solutions to help us all look and feel better.

With summer coming up there are a ton of opportunities to make sure your skin is in tip-top shape. This thread is designed as a general discussion and question thread for common skin issues. Remember, for something you may feel is out of the ordinary, it is best to talk to your dermatologist.

That said, I'll kick it off. What are your skincare goals this summer? What SPF are you using?

Cheers

Rory

The important thing is you are using sunscreen! It is essentially to keeping your skin looking great, especially in summer months (although, ideally, you would wear it year round).

You should give some other brands a try once you finish that bottle. I'm happy to give some recs once you do :)

I use Paula's Choice for men- aftershave and night time stuff. I dont use sunscreen very often. I've been happy with it. I think it shows it's value over time. If you interested in info on sun exposure, check this out. Dr. Paul Mason, MD- genius.

I use this once/twice a week after a shave/haircut. Have been using it for years. All is suave.

I use facial product pretty much everyday, but lack the motivation/discipline to even get close to 6 hours a rest a day. Getting fat pimples, anyone got a solution?

People usually suggest a BHA exfoliant (Paula's Choice) has a solid one and some hydrocolloid patches/bandages to be worn at night. That usually sorts it out!

Paula's Choice makes solid stuff, let's hope it doesn't change now that they've been bought :)

I've been using Brickell products (eye cream, face scrub, face wash, etc.) for about two years. A bit pricey but it seems to work for my desires. I'm a 48-yr old, work out regularly and eat "decent." Sleep, mehhh, 5-6hr/night. Could do much better with that.

Sleep is pretty essential! I don't have any personal experience with Brickell products so can't comment. That said at first glance they look solid enough!

Anything for under eye dark spots? Cant find anything that works.

So after looking into this. You have to get fillers for under eye puffiness and dark circles. Under eye creams are essentially moisturizers.

I generally heard that regular moisturizers work fine for eyes as well. Anything specifically targeted for eyes are essentially trying to rip you off. Thoughts ?
