recently i had a few suits made by a hong kong tailor that i really like...but the shoulder pads are too boxy. can a tailor fix this?

i read a few prior threads on this and did not see a consensus.

i'm not trying to get rid of them, just replace them or trim em a bit.

problem. the pads occupy space. remove or thin them and you have an empty space. there is nothing to hold up the jackets shoulder.

Shoulders are a difficult part to deal with. Althoough, it is good to find out what you like for future purchases. It sounds like you might like a more natural shoulder like Andersen and Sheppard does.

If you are willing to sacrifice one of the jackets, try fixing it with a notable tailor near you and see how it comes out.
