Hello all.

I'm curious to know what folks think about "shorts" suits ? By which I mean a pair of shorts with a proper matching single breasted blazer. I've looked at many photos on Google images, and I really can't make up my mind.

Any opinions, thoughts etc welcome.

Thank you.

The classic Bermuda shorts outfit is still in style. But only in Bermuda.

Feels like a trendy version of a business mullet. This sort of combination makes no sense to me - "my upper body isn't too hot, but my legs are"?

Legs are usually less sensitive to cold, especially if you’re on your feet. And you can always take off your jacket.

Thank you. I started this, er.....quest, with an open mind, trying to see if shorts suit were a viable option for me. And there really isn't anything that makes me think they are. I'm just not sure I can make them work. Actually, I'm just not sure they work in general.

When I lived in Ghana years ago I had a local tailor make me a suit with shorts (along with regular trousers). It was a lark—I had seen photos of various African strongmen dressed as such. Mostly I just wanted to support the tailor, who had no electricity and used an iron that held lumps of hot charcoal. I think I wore the suit with the shorts twice, one time being Halloween.
