I got all my All-Clad pots and pans at Marshall's... along with a bunch of Oxo tools (zester, can opener, tongs, slotted spoon, bottle opener, etc. etc.), some micro-graters for cheeses and chocolates, some teas from England ("The London Cuppa"), some pasta from Italy that was infused with black squid ink, etc. etc. I'm not worried about the food products being old because they are all marked with expiration dates... you can also get interesting international food items at World Market, and of course Ross and TJ Maxx. Oh, picked up a Japanese cookbook yesterday at Marshall's for $2.

As an aside -- the OP mentioned Pantherellas at Marshall's... around my way (Washington, D.C.) I haven't seen Pantherellas in Marshalls for over a year... is this true of Marshalls around the country? Has anyone seen Pantherellas at Marshall's recently?

i've gotten some great stuff ... cutting boards, oxo stuff, tableware. i've never gotten foodstuff, but that pimenton should be good. olive oils i'd be a little more leary of ... they're not very stable and light, heat and time can really screw them up. but maybe you got lucky.

+1 on deals at Marshalls/TJX. Besides le Crueset and All-Clad, I have also seen Riedel, Rosle, Spieglau, Ruffoni, and Mauviel. Their basic stuffs are much cheaper than Bed Bath and Beyound, even after the 20% off coupon I constantly receive. The brand quality is largely depended on the locations, just go the ones at affluent neighborhoods. TJX also has stand-alone home stores called HomeGoods.
