Did you have Sargent resole them. Excellent job! Now THAT'S why you buy good shoes.

A very nice re-soling job by AS there. You sent them back to the factory I presume?

No, I had them resoled by a local cobbler! Not cheap though, I paid a total of 80 Euros. I will bring another pair to him on saturday.

My first pair of good shoes and still my favourite: Alfred Sargent, bought in June 2007. Worn weekly. First resole, stripped with Renomat, two layers of Saphir cream.
