Another day of Crappy Weather here in New Jersey. I don't know about "global warming", but the weather patterns have sure changed in NJ over the past decade. As my wife has joked me about the growing shoe collection (which had remained steady at 30 pairs, but has since grown), I have responded by explaining the necessity of "Bad Weather Shoes". Of course I've got the requisite Timberlands for big snow days, but what about the rest of the rainy, slushy crap days that'll ruin your favorite pair of calfskin oxfords???
Discovered these on the "Cool shoes, etc" thread. I paid probably 2x what I would've paid if it hadn't been listed there (as I'm convinced it was between me and a fellow SF'er in the bidding), but can't complain because they've worked out bigtime.

First time I wore them, I was out with my son in the rain & stepped into a mudhole all the way up to the ankle. No leakage, no wetness, dried perfectly & good as new (or at least as good as 60 year-old boots can be). These things are IRON (and the Veldt welt doesn't hurt).

You won that one! :fu:

I think I was the other SFer on those. Fantastic boots.

I knew it was a SF'er! I went a bit "all in" on this one, as i've been looking for some rough boots for a while.

Thanks all for the compliments & thanks to the "Cool stuff" thread posters for finding them in the first place!

I do not know if these have been posted already, but they are so tempting. Even with a 30% off coupon I do not dare to buy them, my wife would kill me :embar:

10E/10.5D - providing you wear a medium width, otherwise a UK D width.
