I had requested some fabric swatches from www.moderntailor.com to see/feel the fabric before ordering and asked for some extra ones so we can rotate it amongst ourselves. I propose if you would like get the fabric book, paypal shipping and I will send it to you. Take a look and decide what you would like to order if any. Then post again in this thread and pass it along to the next guy for shipping costs. Thus no one has to buy the swatches, but anyone interested can take a look at the available fabric. Post here if you are interested and I will PM you. First 3 interested get the swatches from me, with the agreement that each one will play it forward. Regards.

I'm interested in taking a look at the swatches. They change fabric so often though I wonder how many of the swatches you have are still for sale, and how many new ones have been added. Regardless, I'm in.

I have used Modern Tailor once based on the price. The fabric is not very impressive and this is coming from someone whose wardrobe leans more toward SW&D than MC. As mentioned by anyone that's ordered from them, buttons were very cheap. I was also somewhat scared by the fact that when I asked about whether the shirts had removable collar stays, they responded, "Yes, let me check with the tailor, but we can make the collar removable." I had to respond hurriedly in hopes they didn't start making the shirt with a detachable collar. I ordered convertible cuffs but they came as single cuffs (i.e. missing the button) but no biggie. I also asked about sourcing additional fabrics, in particular a chambray, and they had no idea what it was. Obviously they are new to this game and also probably not familiar with vast limitless world of shirtdom they are getting into with SF customers. Part of what I enjoy about MTM is being able to make little adjustments to my liking. At the moment, I don't have a lot of confidence Modern Tailor getting too many customized details correct. Having said all that, they (Anna) are very responsive to questions and turn around was quick. Hopefully with experience they improve, and it sounds like they've added MOP buttons. We'd all be happy for a Jantzen-killer to step up. Even if they charged 20% more than their current prices but can offer comparable options to Jantzen, they would more business than they know what to do with. Then they probably would offer Jantzen-like customer service... sigh

I might consider having them again in the future, especially if others start having some good experiences, because of price, service, and turnaround time.

I think you are spot on with your initial assessment. They had horrible buttons for sure!
I have liked their shirts a lot, esp for the price! Their fabric selection is a lot larger now, and my couple of shirts have help up well with commercial laundry washes. MOP buttons are on my next order, so its nice that they have listened and now offer a huge selection of buttons also! A couple of others have posted recent favorable reviews also.

Regards.

Mytailor's fabric selection is huge and the fabric selection pages of the website are well set up - you can save things to a wish list etc. I've been a little frustrated because I like to see fabrics in person and they don't bring all the swatch books on tour. But given the range that is understandable, and in any case the fabric quality seems overall high, definitely very good value for the price. Never heard of them sending out swatches though.

Here is my initial review; modifications were made to these measurements and to myself (lost a few Lbs.) and I'm very happy with my current fit.
