Bought a William Lockie cardigan. I'm loving it. Pretty convinced they make the Drake's one. What's the best cashmere shawl cardigan? I've been eyeing Permanent Style and Drake's and Johnston and William Lockie. My internet search says O'Connell's pills a lot.
Yes, I've heard Lockie makes Drake's knitwear as well.Bought a William Lockie cardigan. I'm loving it. Pretty convinced they make the Drake's one.
Lockie makes for Drake's, Frans Boone, and quite a few others. Scott & Charters makes for Colhays, Winston & Co, HnWhite, Cloth and Cut, etc., as well as O'Connell and Permanent Style as far as I know.Yes, I've heard Lockie makes Drake's knitwear as well.
How is the Permanent Style cashmere shawl cardigan? Apparently the O'Connell's pills a lot...if S&C makes for O'Connell's and it pills a lot wouldn't the Permanent Style one pill a lot too?Lockie makes for Drake's, Frans Boone, and quite a few others. I haven't handled it in person so can't comment, but I'm confident Simon's ones are the best quality there can be. Personally I've never heard or read a bad comment about the SC cardigans. Bear in mind too that O'Connells could have requested a cheaper yarn, a different finishing, etc.How is the Permanent Style cashmere shawl cardigan? I've received mine last December and admittedly haven't worn it much since, but have not noticed any signs of pilling so far. It really is done through A&S (ships in their box), as stated by him in some article, still interesting in terms of revenue sharing though. Fit is large and slouchy, I could have sized down one size more even, so maybe keep that in mind. Can agree that it feels like great quality, slightly softer than I had imagined from Scottish cashmere. How is the Permanent Style cashmere shawl cardigan?
