POTEN WINTER COLLECTION OF JAPANESE BASEBALL CAPS​

Poten’s new winter collection is here. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This season we see Poten doing two fitted caps in a 100% work canvas and one adjustable cap in indigo denim and cowhide. These hats are crazy nice, nicer than any other straight ahead baseball cap we've ever seen. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Every cap style has a super soft and supple inner leather headband which has been lightly treated so it’s not destroyed by sweat.

The caps have zero exterior branding except for the stitches which you can see from the top of the crown from the interior branding tags being sewn into the center of the crown. The cap has a medium height crown and the brim has a medium length to it with 19 concentric stitches which feel and look pretty cool in person. If you're into baseball caps, you'll love what Poten is doing.

@kiya - morning and can I ask a newbie question?

I recently purchased the IHSH-33 iron heart shirt in 12 oz denim. Fits well re length and shoulders but bit tight across the chest and waist.

Before I consider sizing up from a M to L…. will the shirt stretch or shrink much across the chest and waist over time? Will the 12 oz denim soften and make it easier to move about etc.? Maybe I should stay away from IH western and focus on work shirts?

If the shirt is tight when new I would definitely size up one. You'll want to be able to wash it multiple times without having to worry about it shrinking too much in the chest, and considering it's made of denim it'll definitely shrink a hair even though it's been factory rinsed.

SEUVAS COFFEE-DYED CAPSULE COLLECTION​

Seuvas brings us a new coffee dyed capsule collection taking three garments and presenting them in a subtle shade of “coffee” by garment dying them in spent coffee grounds from local cafes in their region of Japan. We have a beautiful 23oz herringbone canvas trucker jacket and two different medium weight canvas shirts, all three naturally dyed in a subtle "coffee" color and finished with a special edition version of the Seuvas porcelain button, this one with little tiny coffee beans hand painted onto the button.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Seuvas is a brand dedicated to the art of producing canvas of all weights. They own their own canvas looms and factory which produces their canvas exactly to their specifications for the right look and texture. They even cut and sew all the garments in their own workshop in Kurashiki, Japan using vintage sewing machines so that the canvas reacts with just the right amount of puckering at the seams. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The only exterior branding on their garments is a single hand-made porcelain button made from clay ore (Amakusa pottery stone) mined in Amakusa City, Kimamoto prefecture, Japan. Amakusa pottery stone is a historic pottery stone that is a raw material which has been used in Japanese pottery since the 17th century. These porcelain buttons are designed by Seuvas and made in the traditional way in Amakusa.

MASAHIRO MARUYAMA WINTER COLLECTION OF EYEWEAR​

This week we have four eyewear releases from Masahiro Maruyama’s new collection. All four are made of Japanese titanium and acetate and come with tinted Carl Zeiss lenses with each frame's lens color matching the frame to the designer's specifications. As always, these lenses can be swapped out for prescription lenses by any optician.

All four of these frames are quite unique and the attention to detail in both design and material finish is top notch, truly he's pushing the boundaries of eyewear design and manufacturing.

DEVOA X INCARNATION PIECE-DYED HORSEHIDE BOOTS​

Devoa x Incarnation Piece-Dyed Horsehide Boots, they’re here. ⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
These boots are a collaboration between INCARNATION of Italy and DEVOA of Japan. Devoa provided the design and wooden lasts while INCARNATION was in charge of the shoemaking, dyeing, treatment, and oiling process. After the boot is constructed it’s object-dyed black then “cured” in a special oil which gives the horsehide a deep sheen. With repeated wear over time the leather surface will acquire a glossy shine and the wearer’s creases will become visible on the surface. ⠀⠀

These boots are made using a McKay welt construction method and finished with a Vibram Morflex sole. Now at all stores.
