'sEdward Greens in narrow sizes in NY?

I went to Saks today and they only stock EG's in the standard width. Is there anywere you can find the more narrow width?

Also, the CJ's only had 2 models, the Belgrave and weymouth, in the narrow. Is that the same in UK?

The C&J shops in the UK typically only carries an E width in the handgrade models. I could be wrong so feel free to correct me.

What do people who need narrower shoes do?

The EG store carries a limited range in a D width. That is, hardly any. With EG, you would need to special order a pair and pay the premium, which is something like 50 quid.

I believe my drive for British shoes will have to come to an end with maybe just a purchase of the CJ Belgrave at T&A. This is very upsetting.

Because the lady in the store spent an hour with me trying on shoes. My plan was to try on and buy one pair in the US and order the rest from overseas. But, now it appears that this might be my only pair. Still, I feel it would be wrong to spend an hour of someones time and then order elsewear.
I mean, then get on there knees and get near your feet. I just feel it is mean spirited and wrong.

Additionally, PLAL I believe has the Belgrave in the E only.

For wider width EGs I had to go to Richards in Greenwich, CT. They may have narrower widths.

Please excuse my ignorance, but I thought that the British E width was considered a somewhat narrow fitting. Is this not correct? On the AAAC forum, I've been trying to get some help on sorting out British widths.

A British E usually corresponds with an American D. In other words, it's a medium width, not narrow.

In my experience an EG E is a USA D, but a Church's or C&J E is a USA C.
