Scratched toecap

So I put a big scratch into my new C&J Radstocks. I am pretty gutted.

I am thinking either of repairing them my self with Saphir renovateur cream base plus mirror shine.

Or, perhaps sending them of to Kokos in london. I assume they will do something similar, but with more experience produce a better finish?

Any advice?

I've moved your thread to the new Menswear Advice Forum, where it will get more useful advice and where other members with similar questions can benefit from your having asked.

I think you're on the right track and wouldn't bother sending them anywhere. It just needs a little wax buildup and they should be fine. You probably won't even be able to tell when they are on your feet after you're done. Best of luck.

I understand the problem... I've had this on one of my pairs because of those damn subway stairs... Gotta raise my feet up haha.

Anyway, I had read somewhere that putting some water on your finger tip and just kind of polishing the scracth with your fingers could work. But the scratch on your shoe seems pretty big so maybe the renovateur cream for Saphir could work.

I think a few heavy coats of polish will do much to minimize this damage. It will then be invisible to anyone who is not kneeling down to kiss your feet in all probability!

So, I did send them to Kokos. Look at the job they did:

Yet to be seen how robust it is but looks very good.
