I’m wearing Darren Alan’s new fêtes de Noel. I love this fragrance! It reminds me of L’Heure Bleu with a tuberose / powder thing going on. Very vintagey.

I picked up DA's Bathory and Hekate during his recent Black Friday promotion. Such exceptional stuff. Hekate has almost become a daily driver for me in this cooler season.

Yeah, it’s great. Bathory is also a favorite. The chypre is a go to summer chypre for me as it’s on the lighter , brighter side. I really like his work.

Inspired by this thread I ordered a few samples from Profumum Roma. Trying one of their new frags, Vir, today. Cannabis, incense, cedar, tobacco, sandalwood. Vir means ”man” in latin and this certainly feels like a masculine scent. I’ve seen reviewers compare it with Straight to Heaven and Black Afgano, but I think it’s better than both (at least the current version of StH).

Vir is not complex, nor very original, just very well done with excellent materials. Lasts a long time, but the projection is not overbearing. Very nice.

And that, my friends, is Profumum Roma in a nutshell: not particularly edgy or unexpected, but very luxuriously done.

I've been really wanting to try Vir.

That one does last a long time, but it's very easy to go noseblind to if you go with more than two sprays.

Today is Bvlgari Black.
