The pins were something like $150-$200 retail for a few seasons. There were also some versions that came with pins. You can of course, always add your own.

haha i could see that. I have the L01 which is less busy. I am interested in pins to add to a pair of leather pants that i have. A pin fell off, and I was curious as to where people find various pins they own. It doesnt have to be SL

As far as weight, the heritage calf is heavier than the oiled calf due to the thicker cut. Seriously, this jacket is a 48 and it weighs about 6lbs.

Both! My L01 is lamb, but I have this FW13 Heritage Calf L17, and it's indestructible.

Just wondering, are the pinholes noticeable on the leather if you removed the pins?

Just measured my oiled calf L17 (size 48) and it weighs 5.2 pounds. So heritage is definitely heavier. What a beast!

I tried searching for some pins on etsy and some would look pretty nice on a jacket, not sure on the quality though.

Ah I guess that doesn't seem too bad, I think it'll only be noticeable if you really look for it up close haha

The two I have are from FW15. The "Je T'ai Vu" pin retailed at $245 and the Popsicle one retailed at $445, I believe. I didn't pay that much, of course. I just remember them being ridiculously overpriced for what they were AND I still bought them.

The quality of the SLP pins isn't anything mind-blowing to justify the price point. I too had been looking for something similar as well, but gave up shortly.

I sometimes throw them on my denim jacket. They can be a nice little addition to a rather plain outfit.
