Anyone pick up the new button down shirts? Curious how the twill fabric is vs. an oxford.
I tried and returned. Nice shirt, collar and cuffs have some lining so they're a bit more structured than the R shirt or the Work shirt or Roper. Twill fabric had a bit of sheen to it but I am sure that would dissipate after washing. Buttons are nice MOP, thin and refined really. Ultimately I just decided I didn't really need another shirt like this.

As soon as I saw these for sale, I thought they would be followed by a tailoring collaboration. These shirts are really meant to be worn with a jacket. Obviously that's not how it panned out for Taillour. But maybe there is still a chance.

That alligator leather belt sure looks appealing. Quite unfortunate that it cannot be delivered to my country.
The price sure is distinctively Rubato.

I only like Cortina Crew that they already had last season from the second drop, nothing else speaks to me to be honest. But having more variety is nice, might be other people who will like it, taste is subjective.

Thanks for the review, I ended up ordering the pink shirt and the black cords. Hoping they will work with my rubato knitwear in earth, natural and dark grey shetland.

To me, the cortina doesn't feel different enough from the standard range to be super exciting. I really like the new varsity sweater and funnel neck sweater though. I'll probably pick up a navy varsity. I was also waiting for the black grain belt but it took too long to release and I got an alternative.

I'm surprised at how many colors of knitwear they stock now. I expected the range to stay much more edited. Most are skips for me but the dusty pink is very nice.

I saw them comment on their instagram that the new standard knitwear colors aren't part of the permanent collection, they're just seasonal

Surprised at the amount of new colours too. None are bad but none is to my taste as much as any of the previous colours which are close to perfect in my opinion.

This is just a testament to how subjective taste can be. I personally don't find the designs of Funnel and Varsity appealing!

I find the gravel colour kind of appealing but not sure it will work with my wardrobe. I wear a lot of navy and black and not sure it's the best match with the former (kind of hard to tell because the colour appears different depending on the screen I'm using).
What do you guys think?

Yes I think that works well with both navy and black. It looks like a mid-dark khaki to me and I like to combine khaki with navy and black.

Other colors I'd go with are natural (my natural color v neck goes great with indigo and black jeans), abyss and maybe sand if you like more contrast (but too much contrast for me).

The color seems very similar to the khaki color of the Uniform shirt. At least the Uniform shirt works great with black jeans 👌

It's a very attractive colour, and also versatile in my eyes. Such a "neutral" shade will combine with almost every colour.

Has anyone by chance noticed whether the black jeans bleed on clothes or shoes? If so, is it to a similar level to unwashed raw denim?
