I also got the navy fireman jacket last season, it’s great. I probably would consider getting the coat this season if it was an overcoat version for the current price, not just thin tech material. For the tech one I would have considered too if it wasn’t priced that high. But as it is now, I think it’s way too much with much better things available in that price point.
Do you remember the price of the fireman jacket? I wonder if they’d release it this year as well.

Yeah, it was 1234.20 Eur when I ordered mine. Not sure if they’ll re-release it, but I’ve seen them going for around 400 eur on ebay and marrkt.

And answering the question if they'll re-release it - looks like they will:

Never saw someone selling this jacket. I’ve been looking for it in a size S or M for a while now.

I’ve seen the tan one on marrkt - got sold in a day, and two navy ones on ebay.

But hey, if you can’t catch one, looks like Rubato will re-release it as it was quite popular.

On another note, anyone has and willing to sell dot scarf in midnight from last season, let me know - would get off your hands! I don’t like the square dots on the re-released and how close the print is to the edge…

Got the big square navy dot scarf though, will see if it’s nice to wear.

Just got the big square in navy dot delivered. It's my first square scarf and it's actually very big! The fabric is denser than I expected, especially when folded - feels very soft and warm. It is indeed more hassle to deal with a square scarf than with a regular one - but when it's folded and ready to go - I feel it's much more elegant then the traditional scarves. Just love how ends flair that you only seem to get with square shaped scarves. Alike to the smaller three season square scarves/neckerchiefs.

TL;dr - it looks great, would recommend!

Any chance of a pic? Does it lay fine if you don't knot it? I typically like to just have a scarf loose around my neck but that doesn't always work with a square scarf because it's too bulky at the back of the neck

Do you guys clean your dress chinos in the washing machine or exclusively dry clean?
I haven't washed mine yet, but the care tag says hand wash is OK so that's what I plan to do. I'll report back if it goes wrong.

Also, I'm looking for a fall jacket to wear with the dress chinos. I find that blazers and knits look good with them but none of my jackets seem to work. I'm thinking of trying a Drake's chore coat. Any suggestions?

I have been wearing this raincoat from Percival with my dress chinos (you can see a fit pic in the WAYWT thread) and I like the combination.

However, I am also in the market for another jacket that’s not a mac/raincoat derivative.

Yeah, it lays flat and drapes really nice when not tied. Not sure if you want to wrap it up and wear loose, I guess if you iron it to keep the folded crease hold better. Maybe the only thing is that you have to pre-fold and treat a bit careful when putting on/ taking off not to unfold, so that takes a bit more effort.

Sure, I'll snap one tomorrow.

Friends, I am selling an XL skipper polo from this summer that did not fit me--Because I bought it on sale, they would not let me return it. I would also be open to exchanging this for a size L of any of Rubato's shirts. Link to the Styleforum classified.
