Stitch, nice pants, socks and shoes but the combo doesn't work for me. Those socks and shoes would be fantastic with some solid charcoal grey flannels that need some detail. The pin stripe pants have enough going on and are a bit more formal. I would suggest wearing solid colored socks with them to match the pants. Love the color of the shoes.

nice feedback, and thanks for the compliments on the individual pieces. do you mean solid color socks of the same color as the blue or gray of the pants, or a contrasting solid color?

Love the color of the shoes.

:) thanks, the pic in natural light does them much more justice than my other earlier ones. but even so, they are yet purtier irl.

I would 1) go for the classic style of matching solid colored socks the background grey color. If you want a bit more texture look for 2) a birdseye weave in charcoal. And if you want something with a bit of splash 3) find a charcoal with a simple, small blue pin dot to play off the pinstripes in your pants.

I think the nice blue pin stripes in your pants will look their best when they don't compete with busy or contrasting colored socks.

i can see dark grey or dark brown... imo, blue is always hard to match, you know that.

i think next time i wear these pants and shoes together i will try with solid charcoal socks. ill post a pic and we will see how it looks.

but be forewarned, my next pic will likely be in this same vein. different socks and pants, but same vibe. :hide:

Annoying flash, but you get the point. This is what I like to do with navy pants. As other's have said grey/charcoal is always a good transition. Especially for me because I am a black shoe guy. This example fits in pretty well with what pocketsquareguy was saying:
