DVN dark navy pants with a black stripe down the side and a bondage-y type strap across the front.

Totokaelo. which has to be my favorite shop anywhere. pants r sold out now.
I like their online store, but I find their physical store to be rather sterile and unwelcoming. The shelving for the shoe display is cool though.

It doesn't help that their sound system is perpetually stuck on 11. And the tastes of their staff tend to run toward the hype.

I agree that the space is spare and utilitarian. It is a windowless white basement, although they now have a new stairwell up to the women's section, which opens it up a bit and should probably increase foot traffic.

I like it because of the selection, and the people generally recognize me and are always helpful without being overbearing. I had a sort of bad experience at Barneys the other day, so I have that to compare it to.

Were you in there today? White Margielas with no laces?

ya it was probably me :)... White margielas and sweating like I had yellow fever...it must have been 100 degrees down there. I made the mistake of trying on a ton of jackets and some knits. Suffering for fashun.

Totokaelo is just a bit too cool for school for me, in pretty much every way. They do carry some nice things, but I don't find myself surprised by anything.

To me the store itself is nice, but the mirrors in the dressing rooms have the most bizarre way of making you look terrible. Something about the lighting or whatever makes me look super ill (as in sick, not cool) whenever I try things on

Hmmm...I'll give them some credit for Undercover and Junya. The latter in particular stands out nicely from the sea of navy and black Acne/APC/Wings that seem to cover half the floor. Also, as a Geller fan, it's always nice to find a store that's consistently stocking him. But in general they're selling safe stuff that will actually sell at retail. And the Seattle money, especially the Amazon crowd, isn't particularly imaginative.

tbh, I find Baby&Co and Jack Straw to be much more interesting stores, if we limit it to just Seattle.

These recently:

400

Slept on the non drop crotch until they were truly sold out (at least on the sites I visited). Took a chance on these diaper version instead; good Lord I hope I can make them work with my wardrobe later on.
